Step three is, for most individuals, a surprise. In step three, we are to ask ourselves why we might not want to make the shift in our life we believe we desire…what might happen to our lives with such a shift that we do not want to have occur.

This is a question, a process of thinking, that causes us to analyze what all might happen should we make this one shift in our belief systems and therefore in our life. As all beliefs are interconnected, how might the belief shift we are considering affect other areas of our life? Clearly, we have not yet made this shift in belief, so there may well be one or more very good reasons why we have not made the shift.

Note for yourself, what possible ‘negative’ ramifications might occur if you were to shift the belief you are considering shifting. What might occur in your life that you have not considered? And, if you think it, write it down. Make a note of it. If you think it, it is in your psyche and will impact your ability to make the shift (should you decide to make it) if you ignore its presence.

Once again, spend the next few minutes determining all, and I do mean all, of the possible ramifications of shifting such a belief that you would prefer to not have in your life at this time.
