Moving from Failure to Fullness

November 30, 2009

Barbara Joye - The Shift Guru
Barbara Joye – The Shift Guru

During this time of change in our society and in our world, it seems that I find I have more opportunity to move into failure and then out into a greater fullness. Failure to Fullness seems to be the story of my life these days.

Oh, and I could retreat into dullness if that were my goal, into the state of status quo, but for me that is not where I want to live at this time. Failure to Fullness is much more fun, in the long run, than Status Quo to Dullness….or so I tell myself.

It is simply amazing to be assisting myself through my changes as much as I am assisting my clients. We seem to be moving through this time of transition at a similar rate – all of us shifting our beliefs and therefore our lives in tune with our own inner guidance.

What would your world look like if you were willing to step to the edge of the unknown and risk failure as a route to fullness? What next step would you consider taking is this were a route you choose?

Consider the value of failure and how, so often, it leads to fullness.

Shifting from Grand Mal to Grandma

Please enjoy Yvonne’s Shift Experience in this three part series.

I began my metaphysical studies in 2001. That is the same year my first biological grandson, Sidney, was born to my son, Zeb, and his wife, Amanda. Little did I know how much that sweet child would influence me to allow my spiritual gifts to start flowing once again.
Sidney manifested psychic gifts at an early age. In fact, Sid was able to communicate with me telepathically from the time he was born. He exhibited the gift of premonition at about age nine months, He was able to see spirits and used a magic potion to heal a crippled dog at age three. When he would spend the night at my house, he would wake up and tell me about his astral travel. But to top it all off he channeled his higher self at age three!
We were driving down the road when he said, “You and grandpa were married once, weren’t you?”
“Yes,” I said, “and we have two children: your dad and Aunt Say-Say.”
“You were supposed to have three,” he said in a very grown up voice.
I immediately remembered the time in 1978 when I thought I might have been pregnant. Back then, home pregnancy kits weren’t that reliable and they were expensive. I was about to schedule a doctor’s appointment to have a blood test, but I never got that far. I started bleeding and having terrible cramps, so I assumed I was not pregnant or else I was having a miscarriage, but I never knew for sure until Sid said, “You wouldn’t let me in.”
Oh, my god, I thought to myself. I was pregnant! I did have a miscarriage. Sidney is the soul who would have been born to me years ago.
“Oh, Sidney,” I said. “I’m sorry my body told you not to come then, but I am very glad you are my grandson now.”
“You let my daddy and aunt Say-Say in,” Sid insisted.
I gulped to keep from crying. “Sidney, you are a special child with supernatural gifts. If you had come to me as my son in 1978, I would not have been able to nurture you in your spiritual path. I would have done everything to stop you from being who you are. It really is best that you are with me now and not back then.”
None of this stuff was referenced in the Bible that I had so tenaciously clung to for 40 years. I had to shift my thinking in order to accept this “old soul” (as he called himself) into my life.
I learned so much from him that I wrote a series of stories for and about Sidney. He is the inspiration behind The Sid Series ~ A Collection of Holistic Stories for Children. I invite you to read the book and share the stories with your children and grandchildren. http://TheSidSeries.com

Shifting from Saint to Sinner

November 25, 2009

Barbara Joye - The Shift Guru
Barbara Joye – The Shift Guru

Please enjoy Yvonne’s Shift Experience in this three part series:

By this time, my son had met and married an eclectic Pagan. That totally blew my mind because of all the preconceived ideas I held and the things my religion had taught about people who were not Christian. Surely, this eclectic Pagan gal was possessed of the devil and going to hell! But Amanda was such a beautiful person inside and out. How could she, the woman my son loved so much, possibly be a bad person? Spending time with her opened my eyes and my mind. Not only was she an honest, committed, loving soul, I come to find out that she didn’t even believe in the devil! Gasp!
After that, I researched and studied all types of religion and found both truth and myths in each one. I found that the Bible had been altered many times to serve the agendas of politicians and leaders of the early Church and Roman government. That knowledge gave me “permission” to keep exploring without worry that God would strike me with a lightning bolt.
I ended my relationship with religious establishments and sought my own path to find the connection that already existed with my Creator. That connection was not based on rules or doctrine. As I moved away from the system of religion, I began to trust my intuition and heed the inner voice that I had been ignoring for years. I began to take personal responsibility for my choices and I regained my power as I exercised my free will rather than allowing people to walk all over me.

Shifting from Misfit to Miss Fit

Please enjoy Yvonne’s Shift Experience in this three part series:

Being raised in a conservative Baptist church, my religious training started when I was two weeks old and my parents dedicated me to God. As I grew up, I never questioned my family’s strict, yet inconsistent, hypocritical moral code until I became a teenager. Even then, I never got into any serious trouble as I left home at seventeen to marry. My first husband and I raised our children in an independent, severely fundamental, Baptist Church where everything was taboo. Sin was spelled “f-u-n” so, if there was fun to be had, we couldn’t join in. When my marriage ended 22 years later, I began to question everything I had ever been taught and found that many of my religious beliefs no longer served me.
That was a turning point in my life. Some fundamentalists love a martyr to the point that they teach codependency, female subservience, and total allegiance to their leaders. I had been taught that a wife should submit to the rule of her husband, to never question God or her pastor, and that all the circumstances in my life were not my fault—it was simply God’s will for me to suffer. I was disempowered to believe that I was not responsible for my miserable life, so I kept waiting for God to bail me out or change my situation.
I felt like a misfit because inwardly I didn’t really agree with the doctrine of my religion. I often tried to balk the system when certain “rules” were being mandated to the congregation. I was often rejected or asked to leave a fellowship for voicing an opinion that questioned authority of the leadership or the validity of the church’s rules and regulations.
You can imagine how greatly I repressed my spiritual gifts while in this religion. I had dreams with premonitions, prophetic visions, apparitions and visits from the deceased, and some very bizarre physical manifestations while in intercessory prayer!

Belief is the Bridge

November 20, 2009

Barbara Joye - The Shift Guru
Barbara Joye – The Shift Guru

A friend of mine asked me “what determines our ability to create in the physical?”.  And, I can honestly say I did not have the answer.  So, with support from my Angelic Team, I was able to provide some insights to my friend.

Belief is the bridge between non-physical and the physical.  Belief is the doorway between what is possible and what is created.  And, as it has been said more than once, our life reflects our beliefs.   And, with this information, it seemed to me that this statement took the next step into physical reality.

So, in speaking to my friend, I asked her what she sees in her life; what she is creating in her life from her connection with her Guides and Support Team?

As she described her life and the difference between what she believed is possible and what physically occurs, we began to follow the Belief Continuum (from The Light Won), identifying potentially non-supportive beliefs along the way.

What beliefs are no longer supporting you and the life you intend to live?

Next week we will be visited by Yvonne Perry, children’s book author and creator of a wonderful writers blog, Writers in the Sky.  She is introducing a new series of children’s books to support children in looking inward for their knowing.  Please welcome Yvonne to my blog site.

Manifest First in a Dream

November 18, 2009

Barbara Joye - The Shift Guru
Barbara Joye – The Shift Guru

So, you finally decided to remember, to bring to consciousness a dream from your guides, the Angelic Realm. You finally decided it was safe to bring to consciousness that dream. Good job!

And, of that dream, what have you brought to consciousness that seems totally implausible? If everything you have brought to consciousness seems plausible, the Angelic Realm can guarantee you that you have not brought the entire dream to consciousness.

When a dream is not fully brought to consciousness it appears to be fragmented, to have little flow, to be incomplete. And it is the segments between the fragments that we have in our consciousness that we need to also bring into consciousness. The segments we have not ‘remembered’ are those that we deem to be too scary to remember, segments that might cause us to redefine ourselves, to view the world differently, or to simply provide us a course of action that we know we will not want to avoid.

And yet avoid and forget we do because it is easier, it is safer, it is in keeping with the norm.

Allow in a dream tonight, whether new or one you have had many times, and intend that you will remember at least one segment that you would otherwise have neatly forgotten….have neatly not had to deal with. Allow it in and see how much more beautiful the dreamscape becomes.

Let me know what happens. When one of us allows in, it allows more and more and more of us to decide that the experience is possible, moving more toward probable and that creates creation. So, share.

Shift Your Beliefs – Shift Your World – www.the-light-won.com

Intended to Manifest – To Create

November 16, 2009

Barbara Joye - The Shift Guru
Barbara Joye – The Shift Guru

What if the Angelic Realm were to deliver the message to you today that you are to be the manifestor – the creator – of your life, what would you do?  And what if They were to share this reality in a dream?  Would you believe what you dreamt? Would you analyze, or more likely over analyze what They, the Angelic Realm – your guides and helpers, had provided to you.  Would you discount all of the information They provided?

And, if you were Them (the Angelic Realm) how often would you repeat the exercise of trying to be heard?  How often to do you repeat trying to make yourself heard and understood today?

We souls in the physical are awfully dense.  We can blame it on the physical or we can blame it on our body structure and the fact that our brains have to be covered by a hard substance.  And, no matter what we blame it on, the fact is that we are dense as seen from the Angelic Realm.  The Angelic Realm knows that for the vast majority of us they have to repeat and repeat and repeat – many more times than we would every consider doing for ourselves or anyone else – over and over and over again, in many formats and textures and along many routes.

And the bottom line is that we heard and accept very very little of what we are provided by our Angelica Teams.  In fact, we discount the vast majority of it, especially now when we are most in need of making the changes and becoming the creators we are intended to be.

Invite in your dreams.  Invite in dreams of creation and creativity; of abilities far beyond your current imagination.  Invite in the possibilities that are you.

What might these dreams look like? What have you most recently dreamt that you have chosen to disregard?

We look forward to your comments and observations.

Step Five in Shifting a Belief

November 13, 2009

Barbara Joye - The Shift Guru
Barbara Joye – The Shift Guru

So now, we return to Step 5 in Shifting a Belief.

In step five, the objective is to listen well to our ‘stories’, our comments, our thoughts about a particular situation, person, conversation, or topic. And from this noticing, you can begin to understand the belief that is running that segment of your life. And, appreciate that beliefs are not necessarily simple. Many are very complex and many are interwoven and many define us in ways we don’t even understand.

So, as you begin to perceive that you understand a belief that is running your life, take it one step further and see if that belief is intertwined with any other beliefs. And one effective way to do that is to think…..if this changes, what else changes? If this is different, what else in my life is different? With this thinking and awareness, return to Step 4 and add some additional positive and concerning shifts that may be an outcome of shifting this one particular belief.

We are not simple – why would we expect we would create belief systems that are simple? Does one area of your life not overlap – to one degree or another – with nearly every other area of your life? And sometimes, even in conflicting patterns. The same is true about beliefs – they overlap; they support; they contradict; and they create confusion for us and for those we interact with…our lives are a direct reflection of our beliefs.

What contradictions might the belief you are considering shifting be creating in your life now?

How do you experience this contradiction and how have you made allowances for it?

On the Power of Positive Thinking

November 11, 2009

Barbara Joye - The Shift Guru
Barbara Joye – The Shift Guru

About Rose Colored Glasses

We have all heard and many of us have practiced positive thinking. And it has been effective in supporting us in seeing the positive aspect in situations and circumstances – at least to a point.
What I have come to understand, as I have worked with the Angelic Realm and the arena of shifting beliefs, is that positive thinking is a way to shift beliefs. And is a way that, in its time, was the most effective way that we had been informed about in mass.

What I have come to understand now is that positive thinking, as powerful as it is, is a slower process to shifting beliefs than is appropriate for this time in our history. Positive thinking will eventually, practiced consistently, create a shift in one’s belief. The challenge is that for the vast majority of us (and I include myself as one of the vast majority), life has a way of shifting from our intention of positive thinking to our real thinking. Life, as beliefs, is rather insidious in its ability to shift our focus to the focus that supports our belief. In that way, life is very circular. Our beliefs create our focus and our focus supports our belief. And, if this is true, how do we ever get out of the circle and shift a belief.

And the answer, or the short cut, is to understand and acknowledge fully the story (or mentalities) we are telling ourselves and from those mentalities to realistically understand the belief that is running that segment of our life.
Rose colored glasses are wonderful; positive thinking is wonderful; being in the world from a consistently happy and positive place is wonderful….if only we could sustain it long enough to convince our beliefs that this is how we really want to live. And life, at least for me and the many I have watched, has a way of ‘reducing the wonderful’.

How are you at wearing rose colored glasses continually?
How are you at positive thinking…continually?
