Preparing for the New Year

We are a wonderful society. We spend the last two weeks (sometimes more) wishing folks we know and individuals we do not know a Happy New Year, and yet few of us really prepare for out next adventure – the 2010 New Year.

I wonder why we are so good at talking about it and so reserved when we prepare to enter the new year and enjoy it.  Perhaps, if we were to reverse the energy outlay, we would all enter the new year in better spirits and even better prepared.

I have considered all that is involved in engaging in a new set of energy – a new year – and would like to speak to them in this blog series.

One of the first things to prepare for in the new year is to determine who we are going to be.  In this determining, we then are able to determine what we might need to shift in our lives.  By this determining, we can create that which we need to shift to become who we desire to be.  And, in the off-chance that we do not make those shifts, we know we have only ourselves to be accountable for as we have, by not making the shifts, determined that we will continue on in the same format and mindset as we progressed through 2009.

Is that what you are intending?  Is a similar year to 2009 your intention?  Or, are you willing to consider making a shift or two???

This is truly amazing; I’m in a state of depression, contemplating changes I need (and must make) in the New Year!
I have no support system; suddenly you appeared on my computer screen.!
    There is hope after all!

There is always hope if we can but see it. Allow the next few days to simply move on by and then begin to focus on the changes you need. My instincts for the many of us is that now is not a good time to be making change – contemplating, yes – making them, no. So allow the next few days to slide by and contemplate how 2010 might look differently (brighter) And, if I can be of any help, let me know. I do a great deal of work ove the phone.
